How To Be A Movie Star Even If You Are Not An Actor

By

I receive quite a number of responses to my last email where I shared that I’ll be in Jack Neo’s new movie.

Many congratulated me and they look forward to watching the movie.

The movie will be out in late Jan, so please support local movie. Thanks.

Here’s another photo of me and Jonas with Director Jack Neo.

Just before I reveal the secret of how you can become a movie star, I would like to share something interesting
with you.

Recently someone posted this on my blog.

I know of people who have attended countless seminar and training and they didn’t earn a single cent even after 6 months. So stop selling ‘snake oil’ to your list.

This guy is pretty direct isn’t it.

Well… do I care about this?

Hell no…

Let me give you an important reason why.

I’m not sure if you have heard of this phrase…

“Your income is the average of your 10 closest friends”

If you hang around with 9 bankrupts, guess who is no. 10?

YOU!

Here’s the truth:

Bad news travel faster than good news.

And one of the reasons why people are afraid to even take the first step toward success is because they allow themselves to be affected by the negativity spread by their friends.

If you want to be successful… stop hanging out with people who will tell you why you can’t do it.

One of the main reasons why I’m successful today is not just because of the hard work that I put in 9 years ago.

It’s also because of the number of successful people that I hang out with.

You may not believe this yet… but I can tell you one thing…

IT WORKS! And here’s why…

Successful people always get more opportunity and results.

Because they have experience and the know-how.

So instead of saying…

“I know of people who have not make money…”

I would rather say this…

“Who are your students that are making money… I would like to know them more…”

My achievement right now is not just based on what I know.

A big part of it is “Who I know and who can help me”.

That’s all. Pretty simple.

And with this mindset plus the hard work that I put in for the past 9 years.

I can proudly say that I can retire any time right now.

It’s really not that hard.

Go ahead and try it…

Be good friends with 9 successful people…

And in a few years down the road, let me know who is number 10.

That’s my rant for today.

Talk soon,
Jaz

P.S. Let me give you another good case study here.

Honestly speaking… when I was young.

I never thought that I would get the chance to act in a real movie.

Maybe home made videos, but definitely not movies.

3 years ago, I set a new goal…

And that is to act in a real movie.

So I network and started to get to know more people in the movie & TV industry.

And from 1 small connection to the next, I get to know Jack Neo two years ago.

I started asking for advise regarding making movies.

And 1 thing led to another.

I was invited by Jack to act in his Ah Boys To Men movie and everything turned out well.

And now I was invited back to act in his new Lion’s Men movie.

So what am I trying to tell you here?

I have no experience in acting…
I have never attended drama school…
I don’t know anyone in the movie & TV industry…
I have totally no knowledge of how it works…

Yet with determination… and the “9 friends rule”.

I am proud to say I am finally an “actor”.

Even though it’s just a small role.

But I know that with more experience, it’s only a matter of time before I take on much bigger roles.

So my friend, you can complain, sulk and keep telling people you are the victim…

or

You can work hard, stay focus and keep learning from people who are better than you.

Whichever direction you want to go, it’s your decision.

Only you can decide on the path you want your future to lead to.

Good reminder. As in everything there are always people committed to results and people claiming to desire for results but unwilling to do whatever it takes to get results, hoping that things can be served to them on a silver platter.
